| NEWS, NEWS, NEWS!!! |
Mackenzie booked and shot a new show for Fox called "The
Oaks." She plays 8 year old Lucy from 1988.
Michael Cuesta ("Dexter") directed the high profile pilot, which FOX
won in a bidding war back in August. It was produced by Shawn Ryan ("The
Shield") and written by David Schulner, and the non-writing executive producer
Gina Matthews oversaw the project.
"The Oaks" is a multi-generational story with supernatural elements
focusing on three different families in three different decades living in the
same house, haunted by the same spirit.
In 1968, it's a couple who have just lost a child who move into the house. In
1988, it's a family of four. In 2008, it's a pregnant couple.
Mac also shot a new independent feature film called "Asylum
Seekers." The movie was written and directed by Rania Ajami.
Asylum Seekers is a freewheeling, demented, dark comedy about the modern world,
in which six men and women, fed up with the abuse they suffer in their "normal"
lives, seek "asylum" as inmates of a mental institution. They've all
heard about a place up on the hill with an exclusive treatment program; now
each of them is out to show just how mad they can be when electro-shock treatment
and a comfy bed with a doting nurse has become the perfect alternative to life
on the outside. But the asylum has its own unexpected agenda; for a start, due
to a massive influx of patients, there is only one bed left. The six are forced
to compete against each other in a mad dash adventure.
And last but certanly not least: "Phoebe in Wonderland" got accepted into Sundance Film Festival!

Filming begins in June in Manhattan and Long Island. The cast includes Felicity
Huffman, Elle Fanning, Patrician Clarkson, Bailee Madison and Campbell Scott.
Here is the storyline and Mackenzie's character description:
In the vein of "Finding Neverland," "Phoebe in Wonderland"
is the fantastical tale of a little girl who won't - or can't - follow the rules.
Confounded by her clashes with the rule-obsessed world around her, Phoebe (Fanning)
seeks enlightenment from her unconventional drama teacher (Clarkson), even as
her brilliant but anguished mother (Huffman) looks to Phoebe herself for inspiration...
Mackenzie plays SALLY who is described as 11 years old and evil.
She loathes Phoebe because she is an oddball. After Phoebe is selected to play
Alice in the school play, Sally is furious, and she and her friend JENNY up
their taunting, hoping to verbally place the over-sensitive Phoebe under their
thumb.
